Etiquette

  • Students are expected to wear only prescribed uniforms during the school hours. Colouring of hair, piercing of body, growing of nails, fashion hairstyle etc. should be avoided.
  • Personal grooming is important in our school. All precautions will be taken with regard to hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Student, will be permitted to school only in school uniform neatly presented with polished shoes.
  • The class leaders will check their lines and make sure that proper order and decorum is maintained during Assembly time.
  • Prayer and pledge are to be said by all the students.
  • English is the spoken language of the campus. Everyone on the campus is expected to follow this rule.
  • Hauling and running in the corridors are prohibited
  • Being a co-educational institution, appropriate behavior and healthy friendship is expected between students.
  • Students should greet their teachers when they meet them Nfor the first time in the day within the premises of the school, and whenever they meet them in public.
  • When the teacher enters the classroom, the students must rise and greet the teacher and stand until they are directed to sit, or till the teacher takes his/her seat. When the attendance is taken, students must stand up one by one and answer to their name or register number, when called.
  • Students are expected to be seated in their respective classrooms at the stroke of the first bell and wait for the teacher. During class hours, students are not permitted to loiter in the corridors. If a teacher is on leave, alternate arrangements will be made to engage the class. The class representatives are expected to inform the coordinator if there is no teacher, to engage a particular hour.
  • Students are expected to make use of the library during library periods.
  • Students are not permitted to sit on the steps of the staircase or on the steps of the portico of the school.
  • Absence from classes without genuine reasons will not be entertained.
  • Students remaining absent for a day or more for any reason have to submit the leave form duly signed by the parents when they come back after the leave.
  • Students, who are absent from classes for one week or more at a stretch without the written permission of the Principal, will be permitted only on the medical reasons and they must produce a medical certificate.
  • Prior permission from the Principal is to be taken for availing leave of more than three days.
  • Defacing the furniture and walls, committing a nuisance in the school and any other kind of damage or destruction of the school property will be punishable. In addition, the students will have to pay for the damage.
  • Students must possess their identity card and handbook whenever they come to the school and produce it whenever asked for.
  • Only students who are on the rolls of the school and their parents shall enter the school campus.
  • Tests are held periodically in every subject. Attendance for periodic tests is compulsory. Students should remain in the examination hall for the entire examination time.
  • Students are expected to leave the classroom only with the permission of the concerned teacher pertinent to the activity.
  • If they need to leave the classroom during class hours, they must get the written consent and signature of the respective teacher on the movement slip. They are required to carry the movement slip whenever they leave the classroom.
